Brother Bill
The current and past presidents of this country acquiesce and accept *Blood sacrifice* (war): ex-president Thomas Jefferson was an pedophile, ex-vice president believe in and is sympathetic to torture, killing women, children and the destruction of the cultural, genocide, neighborhood drive by killings, police shooting unarmed youth, rape of all forms, child abuse and domestic violence; these are some fundamental behaviors of man’s inhumanity to man.
A good man is not without sin. Bad deeds cancel out good deeds. Good deeds cannot cancel out bad deeds. We are not punished for our actions we are punished by our actions. Doing the deed is the punishment or the reward. Redemption requires repentance which is necessary to create the momentum to overcome the bad deed. How do you judge ones remorse if greater than the misdeed? Which bad deeds outrage you the most? What is the barometer and how do we determine the level and intense outrage for any human violation?
There are those who want to destroy Bill Cosby by dishonoring the legacy of a national treasure. To sully the character Bill Cosby and acquiesce for all the other evils mentioned is the profundity of it all. ? Compared to what? The question that should be asked is: Who threw the stone and Why?
Prior to the present attack on Dr. Cosby he was one of the outstanding luminaries in this society. How easy it is to forget and abandoned Dr. Cosby. There are those who celebrate and even worship politicians who deny their citizens of healthcare, bankers who steal from those same citizens, college and professional athletes, movie Icon, religious monetary vampires, pedophiles, ex-drug dealers, hip-hop artists, how sad.
Bill Cosby brought clarity to the narrow, shallow, and vapid views shared in the dominant society about Black family life. Black people should show their gratitude and appreciation for what Bill Cosby contributed to our struggle in this country. Mr. Cosby’s legacy and contribution should not be challenged or taken lightly. That legacy should stand on its own. How much do we benefit from his effort to humanize the Black family and extricate the negative ideas and residue of the racist paradigm? Our benefit as a race is immeasurable. The rest of the country should be thankful for that light.
