Book Club: Consider This

Our CEO has written a new book titled “Consider This”. It’s a great read on what a conscience black man has experienced through multiple generations of race relations in America. The stories of the past have profound insight to our current times. We highly recommend this book.

Though not written as an autobiography, CONSIDER THIS delivers the goods with a candid exposure to people and situations in Beach’s life. The book takes the reader on an insider’s journey to “the way it used to be,” and offers a context from which today’s young Black men can look at their lives. You hear the lament often that today’s youth would not think and behave the way they do if they knew their true story. Well CONSIDER THIS is the book that lays that story down in clear simple language.

He talks about being a high school “star player” and later drop out, his life in the National Football League, in the newly-integrated United States Air Force, as a mentor to young men in church, on the street, in prison, and as a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Beach’s former teammate, NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown, writes the Foreword to CONSIDER THIS.
