Over the weekend two of New York’s finest were murdered in an apparent retaliation to the non indictments in the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases. It is alleged that a lone gunman shot both officers from the passenger side window instantly killing them both. Since that time several social media accounts have began spinning the conspiracy theory.

One of those theories circle around the fact that it is alleged that the gunman took a photo of his pants leg that shows the blood splatter of the officer. In this image which is alleged was taken moments after the police shooting (as mentioned in the video above ) In that photo the gunman didn’t have any shoestrings in his shoes. they also allege that several minutes later the gunman took his own life. There are images circulating throughout the internet of the gunman being loaded into the ambulance with what appears to be fully laced sneakers. Now I don’t know what happened this is an opinion based account of the incident, but for the life of me I can’t grasp as to why the gunman would purchase shoestrings of even stop to lace them while running from a scene of a crime? but hey that might just be me !

The real concern I have about this story in totality is the way the media is framing the narrative. The gunman “assassinated” two police! Whats getting lost in the story is that the gunman, alleged gunman also shot his girlfriend in Baltimore before heading to NYC. Although this fact gets mentioned in most accounts it’s a sidebar at best. The fact that this man had / has no affiliation with the NYC protest never makes it into the conversation. This guy acted on his own accord without any aid or assistance, this isn’t a calculated assassin this is a angry dude with a pistol . He isn’t a representative of the movement. He representative of the Black rage that police and the institution of white supremacy breed. Even this story bleeds with supremacist overtones. There are 3 victims yet only two deserve mention, there are 3 victims but this guys total intention was revenge for police brutality ? When New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio acknowledges that bad police exists he became a target, a man not worthy of respect? By merely addressing the obvious tensions that have existed way before Mike Brown or Eric Garner were even born he became public enemy #1! Supremacy at it’s core is an institution, an institution that dictates thought as well as resource. De Blasio pointed out the obvious and the NYCPD decided the obvious was offensive. There is no war against police! There is a war against the people, and like it or not the police are the people, but because they have been indoctrinated to believe that they have an ordained duty to protect the institution of supremacy they essentially fight against whats good for themselves. You want to end this obvious tension? then we need more De Blasio’s we need more whistle blowers, we need more people in powerful positions to dispel this obvious wrong , but as you can see from the clip above the force of supremacy is strong and it’s continually fighting to maintain it’s position in the world. as the old saying goes; everything worth having comes at a cost, will that cost be more blood in the street or will be moved to change in a more civilized manner ? Only time will tell.
