Chicago love

this is a compelling piece by Revolt TV addressing the violence in the streets here in Chicago. Several of the people featured in this Documentary are comrades in the struggle in which I respect a great deal, but after viewing this I wonder if the message of self reliance has been lost on us. These youth that are being slain in the streets are our children, these youth that are slaying the other youth in these streets are also our children. when I hear statements being made by activist, teachers, clergy etc.. that start off with “they need to” or “we need to ” I can’t help but feel that we will continue be plagued by these subcultures that already understand it’s much more effective to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.
