We believe that there are many major issues impacting people of African decent in the US. These 10 (X) are our primary areas of focus:
1: Lack of Ancestral History
There is no way for a people to know where they can go if they have no idea of where they have been. The community must start by us finding our tribes, regaining our stories and rebuilding our broken links. We will have a fund to raise money so that ever black in America can be DNA tested to regain their history and their NAME. Once you learn your mix you can choose your “tribe”.
2: Perpetual Self Hate (propaganda and branding)
How many “NIGGAS” can we be until we just get sick of hating ourselves just that much. How long until our beautiful queens regain their royalty instead of clamoring to be the “Bad Bitch”. We are more than twerkers, and corner workers, we are a beautiful people. The effects of P.T.S.D. (post traumatic slave disorder) have created a cycle of perpetual self-hate that is woven into ever fabric of our current existence. Not only have those who oppress black people in this country accept this branding of us, even worse we accept it for ourselves and drive hard to substantiate this brand image and prove we are the best “NIGGA” or “BITCH” on the planet. It’s time for #BlackREBrand
3: Victimology
This life is your own, it’s on you to suffer or succeed. In a land where every structural institution is built on the premise that isn’t inclusive of you or yours it is your duty to fend for your self. Our government is not setup to help black people therefore you cannot vote your way into freedom. That’s a fallacy, freedom cost the debt that we must pay and will come at the expense of our blood sweat and tears. Nothing will be given therefore we must create and condition a mindset that asks for forgiveness and not permission
4: Digital Literacy (Technical aptitude)
The digital divide is no longer about accepting progressive technical concepts and ideas. Digital is an integral part of every aspect of our modern lifestyle and those who lack the essential understanding of the way things work in a digital world start below the fold. We need to ensure that on a mass level we help influence children to embrace technology and digital creative arts.
5: Cooperative Economics (Micro-Economics)
We must create our own revenue building ventures that house and hire our own people and ideals. Corporate doesn’t work, its built to exclude if the goal is to build a system that will be beneficial to the masses we the (The Talented Xth of our communities) must reinvest into our communities.
6: Venture Backing (Macro Economics – Community Infrastructure)
In order to support the co-op economics that must sprout up around the country, they need to be supported by an infrastructure that connects the communities. Entrepreneurialism is the only economic answer, but without a stock pile of investment funds and or funding sources how real is becoming an owner? Were not speaking in terms of a central currency here, more in terms of looking at the economic development of the people from a macro level and determine the sorts of things that need to be in place to provide a successful blueprint for economic development at the micro level. Projects are funded through crowd-sourcing, open sourcing, community backing, and some for profit investments.
7: Education System (Miseducation)
Rather it be the failure of the schools or the failure of the family anti intellectualism is an issue. Success in America is defined by materialism hence being smart rarely rates very high on the totem pole. If you can’t read but you can fight you’re still our heroes. If you cant count but you can dunk we still champion you. The goal of 99% of black families is to get out of there current situations we measure success by how well we’ve been able to ascend to whiteness, the rebrand has to be not assimilation but understanding that we can create that same reality amongst ourselves. We must redefine what it means to be educated create a new standard.
8: Modern Slavery/Prison System
Systems are designed to function and when they malefaction they are fixed. If we examine the education system we have to look at the other side of the coin, which is the prison system. We must explore the alarming rate at which our people are incarcerated. Recent studies show black boys are being expelled from kindergarten classes at high rates. As soon as a person enters the system as an adult it makes it almost impossible to function without constant judgment and constraints in our system. We must teach our people how best to avoid common traps and how to reduce the rate of incarceration as early of an age as possible. To empower the people we must keep the people free
9: Health (Mental and Physical)
This is a direct reflection of how the brand of blackness permeates negative outcomes. Marketing in general fills a void, when messages and images are created they are created under the guise of “this is what you need to feel whole ” so many of us buy into these messages because so many of us are living unfulfilling lives. Men chase women rather than purpose, women chase men for the same reasons. children chase fame and reputations because of their lack of feeling whole and all the while companies create infrastructures that define human value. we feed our brains and bodies with bullshit that makes us feel good for the moment but ultimately lead to our demise .
10: Broken Families (Fatherless, Motherless, and Hopeless)
Parents are a child’s first representation of God. Its there first understanding of hope, faith and belief. If there is a failure to connect to those emotions via their parents it becomes extremely hard to identify those emotions later in life. ” Its easier to raise healthy children than it is to fix broken adults “- Frederick Douglas
