Our Mission: Changing The Perception of Black People Locally, Nationally, and Globally #BlackREBranded
Our Goals: Talented Xth (tenth) is a grassroots S.T.E.M (science, technology, entertainment, & marketing) activism organization. We believe those who suffered most and have the least should be looked to for our steadfast, dependable and uncompromising leadership. We are looking to build and support the next generation of black leaders through high quality technical projects, business engagements and re-branding the image of blacks globally.
Our Origins: The Talented Tenth is a term that designated a leadership class of African Americans in the early twentieth century. W.E.B. Du Bois used the term “the talented tenth” to describe the likelihood of one in ten black men becoming leaders of their race in the world, through methods such as continuing their education, writing books, or becoming directly involved in social change. He strongly believed that blacks needed a classical education to be able to reach their full potential. We aim to use our education and corporate training to impact social change for people of african decent in America and abroad. We are taking ownership of the term and rebranding it to be more inclusive of all people. We firmly believe that if we pool the skills of the people who believe in our mission we can have a major impact on society. Give us a Xth (tenth) of you and see how much we can accomplish together.
